3 Weeks Old
By 3 weeks old, Sienna has now met her Great Aunt Glo, her Great Grandma Laven and Great Grandma B., and Nick. She's still mostly sleeping, but since Mommy has been on antibiotics for a breast infection, she's been pretty gassy and a little fussy. She grunts and gasps all night long, but she only wakes up around 1 am and then again at 4 am to eat. At her doctor's appointment yesterday, she weighed 8 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. and had grown to 21 1/2 inches long! You can definitely tell she's gaining weight by her newly chubby cheeks.

Sienna's First Week
Sienna has been a busy lady in her first week of life. In the hospital, Sienna was visited by Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Kevin, Grandma Julie, Auntie Megan, Auntie Annie, and Uncle Luke. We had to stay in the hospital 2 days since Mommy didn't get her antibiotics for the strep B. Right before we were about to get discharged, the nurse found that Sienna had a slow heart rate, so they had to do an EKG. They couldn't find anything wrong other than the low heart rate, so we got to go home with orders to watch for strange behaviors like turning blue while feeding. It was a little scary, but because Sienna looked and seemed so good, Mommy and Daddy didn't worry too much. When we got home, Sienna met Great Auntie Sondra and Great Uncle Steve, Cousins Ryan, Terri, Hunter, and Mikaylea. Auntie Hannah and Zach came from New York and D.C. to meet little Sienna and Grandma Belva and Grandpa Tim spent a day with their new granddaughter. Sadie finally got to meet her new cousin since she was at her Dad's when Sienna was born. We went back to the doctor a couple days after getting home and Sienna, who had lost 9 oz. in the hospital, weighed 7 lbs, 5 oz. Dr. Noll couldn't find anything wrong with her heart rate again so we all decided to just keep an eye on her very closely. Sienna has been a dream baby so far. She eats well and sleeps a lot. She is very quiet and only cries when she has a dirty diaper or she is really hungry. She would sleep through the night if Mommy didn't wake her up to feed her. She loves to be held but lets you lay her down, too. Finley has also been a very good big sister. She holds Sienna so nicely and even tells Mommy how to make the "shh shh shh" noise to help her calm down when she's crying. She talks to Sienna and tells her stories about going to the park. Sienna loves it when Finley and Mommy sing to her. Although Finley still has her moments, for the most part, Finley keeps herself very busy drawing, organizing, cleaning, and playing "work" while Mommy takes care of the baby.
